Verity Finder — Privacy Policy
Who we are
Verity Finder helps people reconnect with classmates and friends. Authorized school or alumni admins may upload name rosters; individuals claim their row and choose who can request a connection before anyone can message them.
What data we collect
- Account: name, email (from Google sign-in or email registration), profile photo URL.
- Optional: photos you attach to search posts or school stories.
- Roster entries: full legal name, optional nicknames, graduation year — uploaded by authorized admins.
- Activity: friend-search posts, school stories, reactions, comments, connection requests, chat messages, and abuse reports.
- Device: if you enable push notifications in a future app update, a device token for delivery (not sold to third parties).
How we use data
We use your information to operate the service: authenticate you, show the community feed, match name searches, deliver connection requests, and enable chat between members who have accepted a connection. We do not sell your personal data.

We do not publish phone numbers from rosters. Admins must have documented consent before uploading names.
Your choices & rights
- Delete account: In the mobile app, open Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated app data (posts, connections, messages).
- Remove roster name: Use the in-app Remove action on your roster entry in a year group.
- Access & objection: Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012, you may request access to data we hold or object to processing by contacting us.
Data retention & security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. When you delete your account, we remove your member record and linked data. Moderation or legal audit logs may be retained only where required by law. Roster entries marked removed are kept only as audit records where necessary.
Children
Verity Finder is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
